"I was previously a member of Grameen’s Lavezares Branch and we recently transferred our residency here to Bobon. An income that fit with our daily needs is one of the things that I have been dreaming of.
With the help of Grameen’s Rainbow Branch, I borrowed capital to start my business again in Bobon. I sell different kinds of dried fish, livestock and dressed chickens. I have also a Sari – Sari Store which is supported by my husband. Through running these businesses I have gained almost double of my capital. I am very thankful to the management of Grameen; it really helps a lot to us poor women here in Northern Samar."

"Before my business was only making pinangat (a native leaf processed into food), and my husband was a farm worker to his parent’s farm land. Budgeting with a small income was difficult to undertake. But when Grameen was introduced to our village, I didn’t hesitate to join.
Now with the help of Grameen I already own a business. After years of being a member of Grameen, we have operated various business activities. These include Merchandising Store, Billiard Game operator and Pinangat Food Processing and vending. In addition, we now own one unit motorcycle used in delivering Pinangat to other villages and towns. As a result of our success we have a better and harmonious family relationship, and I have gained the respect and love from my children and husband."
