Marcelina is 37 years old and is married to Eduardo Maribao, 39 years old.  She has four children, ages 4 to 13.  She is the Center-Leader of one of six Centers in the Jubilee Branch.  Her business is selling coffee.  She received her loan of 10,000 Pesos ($245) at the beginning of November 2010, and is in the process of repaying it each week.

Marcelina’s husband, Eduardo, started his own business in 2005, hiring out a tricycle for transportation in the area.  It has been the family’s main source of income.  Recently, regulations on suitable engines for tricycles changed, leaving Marcelina and Eduardo with the need to update their equipment.  Without doing so, they cannot renew their business franchise.

 Thanks to the loan from the Grameen, they managed to do the required modifications and continue to support the needs of the family.
