Dolores comes from a farmer background and belongs to a large and modest family toward which she has responsibilities.
She launched her business almost five years ago with only two pigs and in order tp help it grow she decided then to join Grameen. At the beginning she faced some economic difficulties but thanks to the loans she received her piggery has expanded.
Now it turned into a viable and sustainable business.

Currently she has suitable infrastructure, a good business plan and an average of eleven pigs. in her piggery. Every piglet costs 2000 pesos and the feed per week for all the pigs is around 5000 pesos. She sells the pigs for 10 000 pesos each when they reach 10 kg (i.e after almost one month).
Because of the success she has seen, Dolores will continue to borrow from grameen, working towards a poverty-free life.
